The Pike Market had many things for sell we had never heard of. One was Rambutan, referred to as hairy eyeballs. There were many fruits and vegetables to choose from and we could imagine folks who live downtown doing their daily shopping here.

Of course fresh sea food was one of the main items available at the market and there were several areas with various types of seafood on ice. One location in particular was popular because when and item was sold a man would go out in front of the display and pitch the item back to the person who would wrap it. We witnessed him filling a bag with clams and throwing it back and also saw him pitch a large salmon thru the air. Watch the short youtube video I made closely and you will see the fish sailing over the counter.

Riding on the Seattle Duck was fun and entertaining because of the humor of the tour guide and the songs played loudly as we drove thru the streets of Seattle or sailed on Lake Union. One song, "Stay at the YMCA", is still stuck in my head five days later. Bruce and Kim, if you are reading this you know how songs get stuck in my head and are probably glad we are not back at the office. Watch the short youtube video below to see us going into Lake Union.
